💼 Medicare Advantage · U.S.

She ignores the English IVR calls.
She opens WhatsApp 25 times a day.

Arblu helps your Hispanic members stay adherent to their treatment, with culturally calibrated communication, in Spanish, over the channel they already use every day. Their adherence feeds PDC, PDC feeds your Star Rating, and your Star Rating decides the CMS bonus.

How the bonus is lost

From the metformin bottle to the CMS Star Rating.

The chain is shorter than it looks, and it starts in the member's home.

C + D
The plan you administer

Medicare has parts A, B, C, and D. Parts C and D — hospitalization and prescription drug coverage — are the Medicare Advantage Plans, administered by insurance companies. Beneficiaries freely choose which company to enroll with.

PDC
The metric that measures you

One of the evaluation factors is whether a member with a chronic prescription picked up their medication on time. It's measured with PDC, proportion of days covered. Members also rate the service they receive.

★★★★
The resulting score

All evaluations roll up into the CMS Star Rating, from one to five stars. At 4 stars the company collects the CMS bonuses, which run into tens of millions of dollars a year.

4 → 3,5
And the price of half a point

If the company drops from 4 to 3.5 stars, it stops receiving the bonus entirely. It isn't reduced proportionally: it disappears. Half a star is the difference between collecting everything and collecting nothing.

If the chronic member isn't adherent, it hits the score calculation. If they rate the service poorly, it hits too. That's where Arblu comes in.

The segment

Your least adherent member probably speaks Spanish.

It isn't a willingness problem, it's a channel and language problem. English-language IVR calls and mailed reminders don't speak her language or match her trust signals.

The product

This is what an adherence check-in looks like.

A daily check-in inside WhatsApp, with three possible paths depending on what the member answers. No apps to install, no passwords, and no calls she doesn't pick up.

The path you want: the dose is confirmed and consistency is reinforced, with a nod to her family. Two screens and done.

Screen 2 of the WhatsApp adherence check-in

The screens are in Spanish because that is how Arblu speaks to her. That is precisely the point.

Why it works

Built for her, not retrofitted from an English-language app.

💬
Same channel, zero friction

WhatsApp is already open on her phone. Nothing to install, nothing to remember, no password to lose.

🗣️
The language she actually speaks

Colloquial Spanish, tuned to regional variants and to her generation — not machine-translated English.

💙
The tone her daughter would use

Warm, brief, and family-aware. The tone was validated on real conversations from our pilots in Chile.

🔠
The accessibility she needs

Large type, voice-note input, and an optional loop to a caregiver. Designed for 65+, not retrofitted later.

🔕
Silence is data too

If she stops answering her check-ins, her risk level escalates automatically and the case becomes visible to the plan's team.

On top of your systems, not instead of them

Arblu is middleware: it sits on top of what the plan already has and goes live in 3–5 days, with no IT project.

For Medicare Advantage plans

Half a star has a calculable ROI.

Tell us how many Hispanic members with chronic prescriptions your plan has and where your Star Rating stands today. The pilot deploys in 3–5 days, without touching your systems.
